eMpasys electric Powertrain  solution provide significant cost reduction by utilizing unique components, proprietary control software and algorithms. Ours EV powertrain solutions cross nearly all transportation vehicles platforms classes and configurations. The EV powertrain solution can be used in conventional gas vehicles as well as fully electric, or hybrid electric vehicles. Our technology includes a broad range of  BEV control systems and components required to design and manufacture electric vehicles.

We are developing strategic partnerships with Vehicle manufactures, EV developers, Commercial Fleets, Logistic companies, Petroleum companies and Suppliers. eMpasys in conjunction with various manufacture partners are designing and commercializing highly efficient electric vehicles with a complete Powertrain solution.

Commercial Truck aerodynamics are poor in comparison to a car; and aerodynamic drag become the principal force after about 35 mph.  And aerodynamic drag increases with the square of the velocity.  So the drag at 60 mph is 4X the drag at 30 mph.  The increased drag increases horsepower required and decreases the range

Range requires battery weight; approximately 20 lbs of PbA batteries is required to obtain one mile in range.  Typically, it takes 1200 lbs of PbA batteries will provide 50-70 miles in range.

Lithium Batteries have less weight – Lead batteries are heavier

  •  The center of gravity is lowered, so the truck hugs the road
  •  The batteries can be safely contained in case of an accident.
  •  The bed can be used as it was designed for handling additional loads.

There are two distinct considerations when converting or manufacturing an EV.

First, where will the batteries be located:  Second, to keep the weight under the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)  of the vehicle.

Things to Consider Before you start your EV project:

The vehicle you choose to design or convert must have enough space to house the batteries.

Consider your daily running miles each day. If you drive to 30 to 70 miles a day, then a conversion suits your driving needs.
